LSU linebacker Whit Weeks could return for Alabama showdown

Writing for Saturday Down South, the author relays a CBS Sports report that LSU linebacker Whit Weeks, out since a leg fracture suffered against Texas A&M, may return to practice next week and could even play against Alabama. The author argues that getting Weeks back would be a major boost for a defense that has played well while the Tigers outscored Mississippi State and Auburn 69-17 over their last two games. The piece frames the upcoming Alabama game as a potentially pivotal matchup with College Football Playoff implications.
